Open letter to my guy best friend odyssey
I love you, but not in a mushy way even though at one point I did. I love you in a sibling way. You have helped me find myself in a way I cannot describe. Through the six years we have been friends you have shown me so much. You showed me the way a true guy should act. For the most part, you have always treated me like a lady, except when you burp in my face or fart 20 times in the span of an hour.SEE VIDEO BY TOPIC: Dear Ex-Best Friend

An Open Letter to My Unexpected Best Friend
Today I write this letter to you in thanks for blindingly giving me the world. Even without intentions, you have proven to me the expectations I should have for a real man - somebody with a kind, warm-hearted, loving, and passionate personality that will love me for everything I am and everything I have yet to be, unconditionally.
Since the day I met you, I knew we were nothing less than two peas in a pod. Your wild sense of humor and crazy-funny thoughts have had me laughing ever since. From joking about some of the most ridiculous topics that make absolutely zero sense to super silly things that have us peeing our pants, I have never felt more comfortable with anyone else.
I look at your family like my very own. I can call your mom "Mom" and maybe your dad "Dad". You guys have made me feel nothing but special, giving me more than I could ever ask for, making me feel so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. I can only pray that God will help me find a man as great as you with a family as good as yours one day.
Even when you're a hundred miles away, you always know how to make me smile. Your FaceTime calls, snapchats, and text messages are always quick therapy whenever I'm not having the best day.
You make me feel safe to trust you with my whole life, and with the stupid girl gossip that you know can get me heated every once in awhile. Thank you for always being available to me when I need you most and even when I just want to have a conversation out of boredom, or because I miss you. From other guys to personal problems, you never walked away from our friendship. Even when those boys were jealous that you and I were so close, I never let them get in the middle of you and I.
How could I ever? You have treated me better than every single one of them. Subscribe to our Newsletter Thank you for signing up! Check your inbox for the latest from Odyssey. This is not a valid email, please try again. I could sit here and write a book for all of the things I am thankful for with you. Thank you for being someone that I can relate to in any given situation. Thank you for taking stupid selfies with me whenever we're together.
Thank you for all of your advice even when it's not the best advice, you tried anyways. Thank you for letting my family know that good guys truly do still exist out there in this day and age. Most of all, thank you for opening up my eyes to the beauty of having a true best friend, no matter what the gender. You are so appreciated today and forever, I love you.
I've always had a love-hate relationship with my skin. My skin takes on just as many moods as I do, especially now in my late 20s. Acne is something I admittedly worry about less now than I used to, but I'm still plagued with the occasional breakout — more often than not due to stress. Stress, of course, takes on many forms and can be ignited by many different things, but has been more prevalent than ever now that the majority of the world is quarantined in our homes.
Though if that's the case, we are lucky to have the luxury our healthcare workers do not, stress is extremely prevalent either way, whether its boredom-induced, working from home has you on your computer, checking emails beyond the hours of nine to five, or you're suffering from anxiety, one of the first ways stress can manifest on the skin is through acne.
According to Dermatologist Dr. Joshua Zeichner, the best ingredients to fight stress acne are salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, retinoids, and clay. Here are the products both him and I swear by. I, like many others in their late 20s, have two distinct phases of life through which I remember watching "Friends. Though I never rewatched it as much as some of my devoted friends and family members who memorized the series line by line, I'll never walk away when I stumble into my sister's room while she has it on.
It's the classic "have it on in the background while you're doing something else" television show, and I suspect this will be the case for generations to come. Kaitlyn released a single on Thursday called "If I'm Being Honest," not only are we introduced to her voice we didn't know she had, she showed a whole new side of vulnerability that we can all relate to. Whether that's reading a new, motivating book, or listening to a song that speaks to your soul, there are plenty of resources to help your health thrive on any given day.
In the midst of a pandemic, many of us are experiencing changes. Whether that's going from an office to your couch or realizing how many goldfish you can eat in one sitting, our lives have been turned upside down! This isn't just impacting our routine — our bodies feel changes just as much as our brains recognize them. There are many reasons your body changes: age and stress are the main two, both including hormonal differences that often spark the changes you see.
Couples who are quarantined apart are all handling things differently. Some are getting creative with virtual dates while others are really being put to the test. If you're one of the ones who are bored in the house and you're in the house bored sorry, I had to , there are many sexy ways to spice up your time apart while feeling like you're together.
Amazon's best-selling Clone-A-Willy kit , for example, is a sex toy that buyers are raving about. Chances are, you're pretty sick of your own home right now. And with what looks like a quarantined summer ahead of us, you'll likely be stuck in it for a while longer. But who says you have to "stay at home" during all those video calls that are keeping you social and sane? Now, thanks to these amazing Zoom backgrounds, you can make calls from the sets of all your favorite TV shows.
Hopping on seven Zoom calls a week sounds a whole lot more exciting when you know you can chat from the couch at Central Perk, the Tree Hill River Court, or even the Dunder Mifflin conference room.

Thank you for being such an important part of my life. You are loved and appreciated more than words could ever describe. Oakland University. Dear Best Friend, Today I write this letter to you in thanks for blindingly giving me the world.

Zeichner talks about how important benzoyl peroxide is in lowering acne levels because of its inflammation-inducing properties. Similar to salicylic acid, it fights acne-causing bacteria, but what's different is that benzoyl peroxide goes deeper, into the lower levels of acne to truly fight the source of pimples before they surface to the outer layers of the skin.
Zeichner says retinoids are the foundational treatment for acne. He warns to only use a small, pea-sized amount for your face a couple of times a week because the products are so aggressive. You'll wake up with transformed skin. Zeichner says that with the right product that has high-quality and effective ingredients, they can be extremely soothing on irritated skin.
He recommends kaolin clay, in particular. Keep Reading Show less. Yes, Rachel may have the job at Calvin Klein most girls can only ever dream of, but she's also a terrible cook and loves to gossip, just like the majority of us.
Every friend group has their Chandler or Phoebe, and loves to point it out, which is what makes the astrological alignment of all these characters to our lives even more fun. But when push comes to shove, you're always the one we know we can rely on for your undying sense of loyalty. People find you to be super loud, outgoing, and social — you can talk to pretty much anyone. But you're also extremely deep and emotional.
Once people see that side of you, they hold a huge soft spot for you. It's hard for people to lift you out of your pessimism, but it's only because you like to be realistic.
And, once you fall for someone, you're undyingly loyal — even if the love is unreciprocated. You love to show off and be the center of attention, but the people who really stick around know you're the most loyal friend.
But you also have a darker side to you that can get angry and resentful, but that's also the side of you we find most intriguing. Travel and adventure are in your bold — as annoying as it may get at times. But, it's hard to get close to you. On occasion, you can be stoic, hard to read, and though you yourself are sensitive, you tend to be a realist when it comes to giving friends advice. On a deeper level, you're philanthropic, incredibly giving, and probably one of the most easy-going people in your friend group.
You're everyone's friend to go to when they're feeling emotional or need a shoulder to cry on, because you're equally as emotional and empathetic. You're probably walking less, eating a little differently, and sleeping more! And that is totally fine — you're in a pandemic, there are bigger conversations to be had. No matter why your body is changing, you can't avoid it — it'll happen eventually.
Here's what we're following this week regarding the changes bodies experience. Sarah Maria gives you five, fool-proof steps in overcoming your body negativity and learning to truly love yourself at every stage. They discuss how to love your body while still being goal-oriented — loving your body doesn't mean never wanting to better it! Having battled an eating disorder, hormonal shifts, and all the emotions that come with a changing body, Nikki's story is one that reminds everyone to treat themself with grace and respect, no matter what size they're at.
Your body is normal. Her realistic view on beauty standards, body image, and problems facing today's women remind you that no one expects you to look like a Victoria's Secret angel. She talks about respect and acceptance while reaching for your best self, no matter what stage you and your body is in. Tape them on your bathroom mirror, set one beside your coffee maker, display them on your kitchen table — place them wherever they can best cheer you on!
Yes, that's right.
An Open Letter to My Best Guy Friend
Oh hey best friend. I just feel like I need to thank you. Thank you for being there when girls were too much.

I love how you still listen to my problems even when they sound like a broken record, and I love how you come up with different advice each time. You are, quite literally, sunshine on a cloudy day, and your personality lights up any situation you walk into. I have never met someone as strong willed, confident, loving, and crazy as you.

An Open Letter To My Guy Best Friend
I have had many people walk in and out of my life without making much of an impact on me, but with you, everything is different. You have been the one person who has always stayed true to me, regardless of what I put you through. I have never once questioned your friendship or honesty, mainly because I have never had a reason to. You have to deal with all my complaining, my ups and downs, and most often, my bossiness.
Dear Friend, I'm writing this after a rough couple weeks being stuck inside my aching head. Mental illness is no joke. Not many understand it—let alone stand by their friends who live with it.
An open letter to my best guy friend:
Everyday I wonder how I got through everything I went through before I met you. Since day one you have been by my side. I am lucky and thankful everyday I have you in my life. To say that you deserve everything you want is an understatement.
Having a group of girls to do everything with is always great, but it's also nice to have a male companion to escape from girly things every once in a while. Thank you for endless laughter. Whenever you sense that I'm in a bad mood, rather than having me talk it out, you try to make me feel better, usually with jokes and terrible singing. You always know the right thing to say to put a smile on my face and to make my stomach hurt from laughter. Thank you for being there at all hours of the day. Sometimes when it seems like no one cares, you always make a point to show that you do.
An Open Letter to the Friend Who’s Always Been There
To be honest, I never expected our friendship nor could I see how we would grow and learn from each other. So I just want to say thank you for being your wonderful and amazing self. Thank you for deciding to join me on this crazy journey we call life. And most importantly thank you so much for opening yourself up to me and allowing me to be a part of your life. If we look back to a year ago, what were we to each other? I knew you and you knew me. We had tons of mutual friends, but we never hung out. We simply would politely say hi to each other in passing on campus.
I think every girl should have a guy best friend. No love interest, truly just friends. Someone who understands them and is there for them no matter what. I'm not sure how we even got to be such good friends. It's like one day we decided we were going to be there for each other and it just stuck.
Thank you for being perpetually annoying and constantly cracking me up with your silly jokes. The friendship we have is something I could never let go of and I want to thank you for being that person for me throughout these past years. Thank you for the constant reminders that I can do whatever I set my mind to.
